Have you ever wondered what it would be like to visit a place that banned cars in 1890 with the exception of emergency vehicles? All aboard for our overnight travels to Star Line Ferry for a ride back in time to Mackinac Island. During our route, we will make multiple stops/breaks throughout the night with a chance to freshen up about an hour before getting to our destination. We will arrive early morning where you will take the ferry ride, tickets included, to Mackinac Island for a day to adventure on your own. When you step onto the island, you will feel like you have taken a step back in time. Mackinac Island has a population of around 1,000 people and is known for its great architectural styles, delicious rich fudge, lilac trees, and its laid back atmosphere. The islands main transportation include bicycles, horse-drawn carriages, and walking. While there, you will get to enjoy a free day to explore the island at your leisure. That evening, you will need to catch the 5:00pm Star Line Ferry back to the Mackinaw City Dock. From the dock, we will then load the bus at 6:00 pm in route to Frankenmuth, Michigan where we will spend the night at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, which is also included in your trip, and all get some well needed rest. The next day we will start with free breakfast at the hotel, then you will have the day to explore the sights, sounds, and tastes of the quaint German designed town. The town has numerous shops and eateries that are all aligned down Main Street and you don’t want to forget to check out the covered bridge as well as the shops there. Frankenmuth is known for its Bavarian style architecture, its fried chicken, their German themed restaurants, and the largest Christmas store. We will load bus at 6:00 pm and there will be a freshen up stop about an hour outside of Frankenmuth with multiple stops/breaks throughout the night. We will arrive back at the pick up locations into the late night and early morning.
